Excited About Learning New Stuff
How exciting learning new stuff! I love learning something new! Too bad I did not have this attitude in high school. I would not have spent forty-seven years completing a five-year course.
The other day, I learned about SoulCollage®. I asked a friend about her new Facebook Cover Photo. She said that it was a SoulCollage® she had done several years ago.
I had never heard of SoulCollage®. It is a method of journeying inward by pasting cut-out pictures from magazines on five-by-eight-inch cards. You select pictures that you are drawn to and create a collage. No words, just pictures.
The link below explains in greater detail.
This morning, I learned that an exclamation mark beside a number is a factorial. For example, 5! = 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1, so 5! = 120. Another example is 3! = 3 x 2 x 1 which equals 6.
When would we use factorials?
Factorials are commonly used in probability and statistics, when working with combinations and permutations. When you start doing combinations, permutations, and probability, you’ll be simplifying expressions that have factorials in the numerators and the denominators.

And I just learned what permutation means:
permutation
/ˌpəːmjʊˈteɪʃn/
noun
each of several possible ways in which a set or number of things can be ordered or arranged:
“his thoughts raced ahead to fifty different permutations of what he must do”
